2.4 Scale and expand image window

You can scale the image by selecting Edit/Scale image.... A new widow will pop up where you can select the new size of the image:

Below the scrollbars you will see also the scale factor for both the width and height, and also the new aspect ratio.

Scaling the image means the pixels will be move proportionally which will result probably in some distortion. If you want to change only the size of the image but don't want the pixels to move (for example you started an image, but then observed you needed a bigger canvas), select Edit/Expand... instead:
