1.4 Sessions

The program automatically saves the session on exit and reloads it at startup. The sessions contains all the settings, the current image and the current palette. This means when you close the program and reopen it you can continue working where you left off (except the undo list is cleared).

The default sessions is stored on the memory card in the file pixysave.dat. If the program doesn't start it might be possible that the session file is corrupt. It shouldn't happen since the new format of the session file should be portable along versions, but if it happens, just delete the file, or remove the memory card when you start up the program (in case you installed the program on the phone's internal memory).

To make the program more usefull, it is possible to save sessions in different files. This comes handly if two users use the same program, or the same users works with two projects. Since each sessions contains the whole settings, it means the two sessions can have totally different layout, totally different setup of the toolbar and so on.

But note that when you load the session, the image will be the one stored in the session, not in the file name. As an example let's take the following scenario:

So in short: when you restore a session, make sure it's the latest versions, and if not load the image again.

In case you're wondering why the program doesn't reload the image file when a session is loaded, the answer is: in that case you would loose the changes you made since the last saving.
