(Back)Porting Pixy to UIQ2

Well today I started to backport Pixy to UIQ2. Actually I started it yesterday, but I spent only a minimal time just to create the project file.

Now I finally have a version, which starts, most of the functionality is working. Still todo are:

  • The screen is flashing, I think I need to implement doublebuffering (or use Backed up window?)
  • Load/Save dialogs not implemented yet
  • Menu bar not implemented yet

But apart from these it seems the program is functional. So in a few days I might have an UIQ2 version as well.

Btw, I’m really curious, how many UIQ2 and UIQ3 owners are out there…

Well I stumbeled apon your app the first day I got my P800 and I like it alot, but the pixy 0.3 dont have a working image format so all the things I do on it is wasted, I would love to have a backported version of the new one so that I can really work and get the images over to the computer afterwards. If you have a version done (this post is pretty old) maybe you could drop me a line! I would appriciate it alot! =)

Well, the old pixy was very rudmentary… the new one is much more evolved… however I postponed the porting… and actually I’m not even sure if I will finish it. There will be plenty if UIQ3 phones, and I hope that at least I can finish it for those… although the code is written such that it should be easy to port… but there are always surprizes …

Any chance to have a peek at the source then? I will write myself a neat little pixel program for my p800, but at the moment im pretty stuck in developing a game hehe so it would be nice if i could have something to start with that would’nt be to hard to finish, it’s obviously hard to let go of the source, but I promice that I would’nt redestribute it or anything likewise, It’s just for my own personal use =) (if you would be that nice you can send it to my email =D)
